I am very pleased to join the team at the ARC’s ITTC for Biofilm Research and Innovation as Business and Operations Manager. With an Engineering degree and an MBA, I have been involved in the administration side of many research disciplines including ARC Centres and projects. These have included biotechnology, crops, the environment, chemical engineering, physics, defence and photonics.
My experience includes working closely with researchers, helping them with such things as developing, winning, managing and acquitting major grants. In addition to working with internal stakeholders, my roles have included managing external stakeholder relationships including those with other universities, governments and industry partners.
On a personal front, I am involved in two charitable organisations and have 3 adult children. My numerous hobbies include cycling (slowly), and anything “hands-on” including making things, trying to keep my classic car on the road (!) and old hi-fi. I am really looking forward to working closely with everyone at the Centre!
