Stephanie Northen is visiting us for 6 months – she is a student from the University of Portsmouth in England. Camille Lassaux is here for several months from the Università de Corsica in France. Today they were taking samples from mesecosms (simulated marine environment tanks). The project focuses on the fragmentation rates of marine plastic pollution, as well as biofilm & pathogen attachment to microplastics.
