Field Trip to SA Water facility in Angaston

Our students, postdocs and guests went for a field trip to the high rate algal ponds at Angaston wastewater treatment site. It was great to hear from the PhD candidates Felipe Sabatté and Sam Butterworth about this collaborative research project with SA Water that is led by Professor Howard Fallowfield. This project uses beneficial biofilms to further optimise high rate algal ponds as a low cost and sustainable wastewater treatment method suitable for rural communities. Big thanks to Dr Ngai Ning Cheng from SA Water for all your work on this project and facilitating this exciting field trip.
